What People Are Saying:

I have found the teaching and learning initiatives provided as part of this course to be easily adaptable and transferable across different strands of our physical curriculum. The creative exploration that is encouraged amongst learners, has also enabled me to experiment with my own approaches to teaching, particularly in relation to our different learning environments and the methods in which activities can be successfullyutilised to support EYFS swimming lessons. The strategies provided are well structured and applicable to a number of different teaching settings. All activities are developmentally appropriate, enabling continual learner progress, whilst catering for the individual. I would highly recommend this course to anyone working within an Early Years or Physical Education setting.

This course has been pivotal in expanding our dance and movement provision, as part of the EYFS curriculum. The wealth of high quality, easily accessible videos and accompanying resources, have helped to enhance teaching delivery and learner engagement, with notable progression. It has been a real pleasure to see our students develop in confidence, physical competence and exploration of their vivid imaginations, through physical avenues of enquiry. Innovative ideas provided by Helen Battelley’s videos, such as the different approaches to storytelling, music and equipment/props have helped to create new learning experiences for our students, utilising our resources and teaching spaces in uniquely engaging ways. This course highlights both purpose and pedagogy underpinning the variety of activities that can be embedded and integrated across Early Years teaching, whilst promoting learner-centred fun.
